Today was a fun day…
Today was a fun day to try something different. All conditions were set to get a lil more creative and look for new angles to shoot Playa Zicatela. I was stoked with the results, because i personally didnt think i’d like any of the shots. When i came home i was a lil surprised and happy how it turned out.

Here we have Ricky Withlock doing a rebound of the withe water. I saw John Maher watching the wave and moved right behind him hoping i could capture the moment of a surfer watching someone else riding a wave.

In the foreground we can see David Rutherford. Im sure he is mind surfing this wave since he loves going left at Puerto.

I was on top of the main lifeguard tower when i saw Motor going for the ramp. I thought it could looks cool if i could include the lifeguard watching and also the ski sitting on the shore. Hector needs no help from a PWC to get some air.

I was walking the trail and saw the lil palm trees. I knew the green and yellow would make a good contrast against the water color and the sand. Hector Santiago doing what he loves.

Max Diaz came this day bummed out cause he missed the morning sesh. Here he’s getting rid of the frustration.

Oscar Moncada doing his thing. He always finds the best wave of the day and you’ll see him looking for some hotties laying on the sun beds around sunset time.

This is Adrian Aranda from PR. As i was walking back saw the sets and stop to shoot this image. I love the fact that 2 photographers are capturing the same moment with different lenses. Angel salinas with a 500mm and me with a 70-200mm. Pulled back vs tight shots 🙂

I was lucky to be in the spot to capture two really good surfers banging different waves at the same time. Here’s John Maher in the foreground and Eli Olson in the back at the Point.

Looking for shadows is always fun. I was walking around and saw this. Waited for about two mins and this cool wave came.
